Battery spot welding machine welding points

Introduction:

During the welding process of the battery spot welding machine, the phenomenon of poor welding quality is usually closely related to the following problems, especially the failure of penetration at the welding point or spatter during welding. To ensure the welding quality and the stability of the equipment, the following are some possible reasons and solutions:

The welding point is not penetrated and the nugget is poorly formed

1. No leakage phenomenon:

Problem description: During the welding process, if the welding point cannot be melted through, there will usually be a phenomenon of no "bean-shaped" nugget arrangement, which will greatly reduce the welding strength and form a potential quality risk.

Solution: Ensure the accurate setting of parameters such as welding current, time and pressure to avoid too low current or too short welding time.

Regularly check whether the parameter settings of the welding equipment are accurate.

2. Welding parameter debugging:

Problem description: If the welding point fails to melt through during welding, it may be related to improper parameter settings.

Solution: Adjust welding parameters such as current, time, pressure, etc.

If parameter debugging is invalid, check the main power circuit (such as whether the power supply voltage is stable) and whether the transformer is working properly to avoid welding quality problems due to insufficient power supply or transformer damage.

Too many automatic spot weldings

1. Insulation problems between the bracket and the machine body:

Problem description: If the insulation resistance between the bracket and the machine body is poor, it may cause a local short circuit, thus affecting the welding effect.

Solution: Check the insulation between the bracket and the machine body to ensure that its resistance meets the requirements.

2. Contact surface problems:

Problem description: If the contact surface is severely oxidized or damaged, it may cause the contact resistance to increase, thereby increasing the heat and affecting the welding quality.

Solution: Regularly check the contact surface, especially the flexible joint part of the copper joint, to prevent it from being oxidized or worn.
Clean and maintain the contact points to maintain good conductivity.

3. Weld thickness and load requirements:

Problem description: When the thickness or load of the weld does not meet the requirements, the welder may overheat, affecting the welding effect.

Solution: Check the thickness and load requirements of the welded workpiece to ensure that the specifications of the welded workpiece meet the working range of the equipment.

Avoid excessive use of the equipment, and perform cooling and maintenance regularly to avoid overheating of the equipment.

4. Cooling system inspection:

Problem description: If there is a problem with the cooling water system (such as insufficient water pressure, insufficient water volume or inappropriate water supply temperature), it may cause the electric arm to overheat and affect the welding effect.

Solution: Check the water pressure, temperature and water flow of the cooling system to ensure that the system is clean and prevent dirt from clogging the cooling channel.

Unexpected spatter during welding

1. Unstable current:

Problem description: Spatter during welding may be caused by excessive or insufficient current, especially when the current is inappropriate, the molten pool is easily too large or too small, resulting in spatter.

Solution:Appropriately adjust the welding current to avoid excessive or insufficient current.

Perform regular calibration of the equipment to ensure stable current output.

2. Insufficient workpiece strength:

Problem description: If the strength of the welding workpiece is insufficient, the welding current may not be able to effectively melt the workpiece surface, resulting in poor welding effect and spatter.

Solution:Check the material and thickness of the workpiece to ensure that it is suitable for spot welding.

Appropriately increase the welding current to enhance the welding strength.

Conclusion

During the welding process, the key to ensuring welding quality lies in precise parameter control, good equipment maintenance and reasonable workpiece selection. Regular inspection and commissioning of welding equipment to ensure the stability of the cooling system, electrical system and welding parameters will effectively reduce common problems in welding and improve welding quality.
